Piedmont approved changes to housing plan
Encouraging a leading sector of the regional economy
The Piedmont Regional Council has adopted by 33 votes to 16 against, the amendments to the Law on Regional House Plan which aims to boost investment in the construction industry through less restrictive procedures and the resolution of some problems of implementation of Law 20/2009. Ugo Cavallaro, Councillor of Piedmont, said that with the adoption of this law the Government achieves the objective of encouraging a leading sector of the regional economy by simplifying and allowing citizens to take action on non-residential buildings and respect the environment and focusing on saving energy.
The measure provides for awards of airspace notwithstanding the provisions of zoning, allowing up to 20% increase in the volumes of residential buildings and one two-family, in addition to the closure of arcades and colonnades in manufactured houses and giving the opportunity to establish a new independent residential unit. Defined areas of protection and in particular can not perform actions in derogation within the historical centers, outdoor areas of historical interest and scenic them relevant to individual buildings of historical, artistic, environmental or documentary, in parks or protected areas. .
