The inn is Alfonso Gallotti located in one of the busiest streets of the old town and, like the dishes on the menu clearly expresses an authentic local cuisine, with daily variations that follow the seasons - and, partly, the inspiration of the chef - and attention in the search for raw materials.
It begins with slices of toast with marinated fish, fried sciurilli stuffed with ricotta, fried polenta, olive paste its product, ham and mozzarella. The beans are one of the maruzzara classic dishes of the restaurant, but alternatively you can choose to scammaro or noodles with artichokes, paccheri the Two Sicilies (topped with eggplant pesto) or with a sauce of anchovies, tomatoes, pine nuts, raisins and sheep, the interesting velvety chickpea and cuttlefish served in pignatiello. But the first series is not over yet. Other classics are the mezzanielli pasta with Genovese sauce, or even piennolo cherry tomatoes, garlic, basil and chili, soups tradition of Neapolitan pasta and vegetables with provolone ol'ottima pasta and potatoes. As to the latter, can not go wrong ordering the cod or codfish in casserole, fried or in salads, depending on availability you may also enjoy fried anchovies, cuttlefish or squid stuffed with fish and sauce portion. Wanting to go on the meat, there are meatballs with Marsala and mushrooms, sausage 'mbuttunato, sweet and sour pork loin grilled and roasted mixed. Before
of sweets - baba, pastiera, Capri - will be served a fresh basil sorbet. In the wine cellar there are many emerging areas of Campania, with a good balance between quality and price.
